Changes in land use that are the direct result of anthropogenic activities and human technological advancements may cause harm not only to the land but also to the biosphere. To overcome this challenge, land use transformation towards carbon-neutral agriculture is an emerging green agenda to mitigate the impacts that land has been facing. The attainment of carbon neutrality is a step in the right direction that offers a promising future. It is predicted that decisions regarding land use that involve agrifood systems will play a part in the overall effort being made all over the world to mitigate effects of climate change. The use of agricultural land is receiving a greater amount of attention, and the reduction of emissions necessary to achieve carbon-neutral agriculture is becoming an increasingly projected topic of discussion in global investment and policy forums.
