RELX SDG Customer Awards 2025
Recognising our customers' exceptional work to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Launched in 2020, the RELX SDG Customer Awards aim to recognise customers who share our commitment to driving action in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Nominations are received from colleagues, from across RELX's four business divisions, and are judged by a panel of internal experts against the criteria of making a demonstrable and measurable impact against one or more of the Global Goals. The 2025 awards were presented at RELX SDG Inspiration Day by Hugh Jones, CEO of RX and Valentina Isakina, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer, LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

De La Salle University (DLSU), established in 1911 and located in Manila, Philippines, is a leading research institution known for its commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility. The university actively integrates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its operations, research, and community engagement initiatives.
DLSU's SDG Localisation Project focuses on key areas such as education, health, environment, and social entrepreneurship. Notable programs include:
L-ARAL (Lasallian Accessible, Relevant, and Alternative Learning): Aims to provide quality non-formal and alternative education, aligning with SDG 4 (Quality Education).
L-HEARTS (Lasallian Health Education, Health Services, and Training Services): Focuses on promoting health and well-being, supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
L-EnviSaGe (Lasallian Environmental Sustainability and Governance): Addresses environmental sustainability and governance, contributing to SDG 13 (Climate Action).
L-SEED (Lasallian Social Enterprise for Economic Development): Encourages social entrepreneurship to foster economic growth, in line with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is a prominent international law firm founded in 1967, headquartered in Miami, Florida. With over 2,850 attorneys across 49 offices in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia, the firm offers a wide range of legal services, including corporate law, litigation, real estate, intellectual property, and environmental law.
The firm is committed to sustainability and aligns its operations with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notably, Greenberg Traurig has achieved net carbon neutrality for its global office energy usage and powers its US offices with 100% renewable energy, supporting SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
Greenberg Traurig also emphasises inclusion, reflecting SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). The firm is recognised for its philanthropic efforts, pro bono work, and community engagement, further contributing to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

Beiersdorf, a global skincare and personal care company, integrates sustainability into its core business through its "CARE BEYOND SKIN" strategy, aligning with 13 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The company is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2045 (SDG 13) and ensuring all packaging is refillable, reusable, or recyclable by 2025 (SDG 12). It supports responsible sourcing and environmental protection (SDGs 14 & 15), while also promoting employee well-being, diversity, and inclusive work environments (SDGs 3, 5, 8, and 10). Beiersdorf also invests in community initiatives, human rights, and education (SDGs 4 and 16).

For the first time, we recognised an additional company with an honourable mention. Open Planet, launched in 2023, is an independent Community Interest Company or social enterprise. Their award-winning, open-source library of high-quality video content and data visualisations, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enables storytellers, educators, and creators worldwide to tell stories that can inspire action for the planet. Free for educational and impact use, it is designed to inspire change and accelerate action.
Co-produced by Open Planet Studios and Silverback Films, Ocean with David Attenborough, takes viewers on a breathtaking journey, uncovering how we’re living in the greatest age of ocean discovery, and showing beyond doubt that there is nowhere more vital for our survival than the ocean. Produced using footage available through Open Planet's content library, the film highlights the powerful role of content in helping to communicate the urgency of environmental and social issues.

RELX SDG Inspiration Day 2025
The RELX SDG Customer Awards 2025 were presented during RELX SDG Inspiration Day on 3 June 2025.
RELX SDG Inspiration Day is a free, annual online event for thought leaders, corporate representatives, students, investors, governments, and NGOs to explore issues and gain practical insights on the UN SDGs and be inspired to act in support of them. The eleventh edition of the RELX SDG Inspiration Day 2025 was held on 3rd June 2025. The theme of the event was The Future of Philanthropy: Stepping up for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
