This Series of 2 papers in The Lancet Oncology addresses the urgent need to pay specific attention to the challenges and disparities faced by people with disabilities suffering from cancer. The authors highlight the need to improve the effectiveness and timeliness of cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes to provide more equitable cancer prevention and care.

The research highlights how, for Indigenous people across the globe, being connected to traditional lands and histories continues to be of paramount importance. To document this connection on one river system in the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America, the researchers have compiled archaeological evidence from 14 settlements occupied between 3,000 years ago and the early 20th century.

Adolescent girls are not receiving the support they need to thrive and are continuously disadvantaged by inattention and broad inequalities that limit their tremendous potential. Their potential is enormous—as is their belief in a better future.

In support of SDG 3, the authors present a student mental health support system, based on artificial intelligence and big data analysis. The system designed through the research aims to provide a personalized mental health support and guidance resource for students, who face increasing psychological pressure in today's society. The system also provides effective mental health monitoring and support tools for ongoing mental health promotion activities in educational settings.
