Weerinda Mens is currently an Assistant Professor and a Research Group Leader at the Catalysis and Process Intensification Laboratory at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in Pathum Thani, Thailand, since 2015. She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. Her team specializes in catalytic conversion processes, with a focus on turning biomass into fuels or chemicals. Her group has now focused on the design of high-shear reactors, combining knowledge in geometric analysis, experimental data, and fluid dynamics simulations, in order to intensify chemical reactions and enhance efficiency in biomass conversion.
